The Last Of Us

The Last Of Us is a 2013 action-adventure and horror video game and a video game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. This game has a character named Joel who is in charge of escorting a teenage girl Ellie across a post-apocalyptic United States. The Last Of Us is played in a third person perspective, and players use improvised weapons and firearms against any danger from humans to fungus infected cannibalistic people. In my opinion the game was well made and the details and graphics were phenomenal. The one downfall was when the objectives were not clear enough to pass missions and you were stuck doing things for around an hour or so because you got confused.

It captures humanity, society, and function after a mass apocalyptic attack, leaving a fungi to spread by the millions in different variations or levels of infected. Each one being scarier and more intimidating than the last. But even scarier are the people in which the player encounters. Whether you see them as enemies or scavengers such as yourself, they are just trying to survive in such a crazed world. It makes you think twice about the enemy.

Joel is captured perfectly, and the voice  of Troy Baker is brilliant. It fits so well and captures every emotion that needs to be captured in any given scene. Likewise, Ashley Johnson’s character Ellie, a 14 year old girl born during the apocalypse, is beautifully created into this naive yet fierce girl who must do whatever she can to survive.

By far the greatest game of all time, no questions asked

Rating of the game 4.5 out of 5 stars.
