Dr. Dolittle was released on January 17th, 2020 featuring Robert Downey Jr.as Dr. Dolittle. This movie was a remake of the 1998 original movie featuring Eddie Murphy. It still has the same general topic. The movie is still about a doctor who found a love in working with animals and can speak and understand their languages. Only this time Dolittle goes on an adventure with his team of animals to save the ill queen of England. In my opinion the movie was good and I liked it.

The tone of the movie was hard to understand at the beginning. I didn’t understand what he was saying. It sounded as if he was speaking gibberish because he tended to bunch his words together. I’m not sure if that was intentional to get the effect of him speaking to the animals but it confused me. He later on went into speaking to the animals in a clearer voice and pronounced his words fully. All of the voices for the animals in the movie fit really well and animations were amazing portraying the animals in habitats they aren’t regularly in.

In the movie they really showed how much he connected with the animals and can speak to them. At some point in the movie he calmed a fierce dragon and helped her with pain she never even told him about he just understood her pain and what was causing it.

Overall the movie was well put together. It had something for everyone. It had action, adventure, comedy and romance. I would recommend watching this movie with family and friends.
