Derrick Rose was a point guard with the Chicago Bulls. He was a three-time NBA All-Star with the Bulls. He was the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2009. He was 22 when he won the league’s MVP in 2011. Rose is a native Chicagoan. He attended Simeon High School, where he won two state championships and was named a McDonald’s All-American. He attended the University of Memphis and entered the NBA Draft after his freshman season. He was selected with the No. 1 pick by the Bulls in 2008.
Rose was known for his athleticism and quickness earning names like MVP and cool nicknames like ¨Too Big, Too fast ,Too Strong, And To Damn Good.¨
During his career he also did stupid things like being found guilty for speeding. He was ticketed in April for driving more than 100 mph on Interstate 88 in Aurora. Rose admitted he did something stupid.
But he never expected himself to crash like he did with a terrible torn ACL injury in his left knee. During the 2012-13 season he sat out and from then to now Rose has been traded to three different teams such as the New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers and his current team the Minnesota Timber wolves.
