Chicago Bulls So Far

17 games in and so far have a record of 4-13. While it has been a disappointing start they have been playing without some of their key players. Starters Lauri Markkanen and Kris Dunn have both been sidelined for 4-6 weeks and key role players Bobby Portis and Denzel Valentine have also suffered injuries that could keep them out of action for more than a month.

“I think it’s a really rough start, while I understand that they are rebuilding right now, they should be contending for a championship a couple years from now” says senior Kenny Wilkerson.

In the meantime, Zach Lavine is proving he’s worth his 4yr/$78 million  deal, averaging 25.3 PPG/ 5.4 RPG/4.0 AST. While the Jabari Parker signing is still not looking like the $20 million man that he was signed for, only averaging 14.9 PPG/6.6 RPG/2.1 AST.

The Bulls were never seen as a good defensive team last year but this year they reached a new low. Having lost to the Golden State Warriors 149-124, while giving up 92 points in the first half.

“I hope that this team becomes good fast, I don’t know how much more of this [losing] I can take.” says senior Antonio Juarez.

This free agent class has Klay Thompson, Kawhi Leonard, Demarcus Cousins, and Jimmy Butler and Chicago having as large a market as it does, is looking to nab one of these franchise changing players.
