BomboBar Review

BomboBar is a walk-up eatery located on 832 W Randolph St, Chicago, IL 60607. This place offers many things to eat and drink. They offer coffee, gelato, and pastries to go. I had the chance to give it a try, but had mixed feelings about it.

I tried the s’mores hot chocolate which was served with s’mores whipped cream, two chocolate cookie breads, chocolate syrup, and a bomboloni which are the famous holeless donuts. I believe it was too much chocolate, more than I had expected it to be. It was a drink that I couldn’t finish on my own but the hot chocolate was pretty good.

I also had to try the donuts that I’ve seen other people post about which is not as big as they look in pictures. It came with a tube filled with filling that you squeeze into the donuts which I found pretty cool. The donuts weren’t too sugary which I enjoyed.

The price I believe were reasonable. The hot chocolate that I got was nine dollars which was fair because it was pretty big. The bomboloni, which were the donuts, are three dollars and fifty cents each, or depending on how any you get. I’m looking forward to trying the food there which looks good and range from six to seven dollars.

Overall I would give this place a 3/5 as of now with what I have tried so far. I looked at the reviews on Facebook and most of them do agree on the drinks being too sugary but I do believe everyone has their own tastes. I do recommend you go try it if you are around the area.
