Far Cry 5 Review
Far Cry 5 is the fifth installment in the Far Cry series, but just like all the previous games, they do not have a chronological order and are not connected in anyway. Far Cry 5 is a action-adventure, first person shooter, that lets you roam the world and do what you wish. The game allows you to play the main quest/story-line or do other side quest and activities.
Far Cry 5 is played as a first person shooter. We play the role of a sheriff’s deputy who was sent with a task force to Hope County, Montana. The place is run by Joseph Seed who has a religious militia under his command. The game has many lieutenants and other people in command that you will also have to face while completing the main story.
The main story begins with you going to arrest and prosecute Joseph Seed for kidnapping. He does not resist , but he does tell you, the player, that God won’t let him be imprisoned. As you head to the chopper, his cult members rally up and ambush the team letting Joseph Seed run free, and takes in most of the task force as hostages. You as the player are the only one that survives and escapes and it’s your mission to capture Joseph Seed and bring back your buddies.
The open world sandbox style game allows players to roam the map and do as they wish. The militia is still in control of that area so there are times where you have to confront them. You can also hunt, fish, take out enemy bases around the map and so much more apart from completing the main story.
The game is available on all platforms, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Overall the game is fun and still has the crazy atmosphere as always. I recommend getting the game if you have the time to put in. I give it a 4.5/5.
