Eminem fires back at critics

Eminem recently released a new album titled “Revival.” After a couple years of being gone, one of his songs, “Chloraseptic,”aimed towards rappers now a days who rap over the same thing over and over again. Many people did not happen to like his album, more so this song “Chloraseptic,” because people do not know the background of this song, or any of his other songs at that. The original song featured Eminem, and PHresher having to only rap the hook, with the new song, we get verses from 2 Chainz, who was originally supposed to be in the album but was cut, and an actual verse from PHresher himself.

Eminem aimed at critics who talked about his album and how horrible it was. Specifically, Joe Budden, a rapper signed to Eminem’s label, “Shady Records.”Joe Budden sat down at an interview in a podcast, and called his song, “Untouchable” trash, also saying his new album contained too many pop artists. In his song, “Chloraseptic (Remix),”Eminem says, “ “Y’all saw the track list and had a fit ‘fore you heard it/ So you formed your verdict while you sat with your arms crossed/ Did your little reaction videos and talked over songs.” Stating how people criticized his song before they even listened to it. Also aiming at youtubers who reacted over his songs without really listening to it.

The album contained many pop artists such as, “P!nk, Kehlani, and Beyonce.” Many people especially trashed his first song that was released before the album, “Walk on Water”, which featured Beyonce, and many Publications such as Pitchfork harshly criticized the song and the whole album, stating, “even Beyoncé couldn’t save ‘Walk on Water.”

Eminem feels like the critics should listen to the songs before sharing opinions with their audience.

Eminem went hard on the song, also talking about how after the cypher at the BET awards, and dissing Donald Trump, saying “Then I took a stand, went at Tan-Face and practically cut my motherf****n’ fan base in half and still outsold you.” Showing how even though he told his fans if you stand for Donald Trump to stop listening to him, but still outsold rappers these days despite cutting his fan base in half. Overall this song definitely deserves a 5 out of 5.
