On October 26, 2017, Phoenix Military Academy held a gathering for the iMentor volunteers and the juniors to finally meet each other.  

The juniors were anxious to meet their mentors in person for the first time after they received a paper where it states their mentor’s name and occupation.  

“I wonder what my mentor will be like,” said junior Veronica Gutierrez.

Program manager from iMentor, Estrella Arauz, makes sure the program runs smoothly and carries the responsibility to choose good partners for the cadets. The junior’s had activities to do with their mentor to get to know each other and develop a relationship together.

“I am looking forward to seeing my mentor again,” said junior Kenny Wilkerson.

1st Sgt Powell’s 8th period class helped set up the gym room for themselves and their mentors. Juniors will see their mentors again November 17, 2017.
