Phoenix had tryouts for their junior varsity basketball team. They were looking to see if there was any  talent that could play varsity.

“What did I tell you guys freshmen year, A team that glow together grow together?,” said head coach Lorenzo Donegan.

This season varsity plans on taking the regional championship home and winning conference. The team was put on the radar by varsity player Greg Boyle.Now an alumni,  with a scholarship to play at Trinity Christian College, looks forward to see if Phoenix will keep his legacy going on.

“We need hardworking student athletes and full time players no part time players,” said Coach Lorenzo

The team came in third place last year’s conference, but   did not move up in conference. This year seeing teams in a higher conference than us that we beat. Now seeing we have to work harder.
