Most people choose other sports like football or soccer to participate in. However, junior Luciano Alvarez joined the PMA bowling team his freshman year because it is just as fun.

Unfortunately, Alvarez believes it  does not  get as much recognition as it should.

Originally Alvarez joined the bowling team, because his brothers who used to be students at PMA, also were on the bowling team.

“I felt like I had to keep the tradition alive, so I joined the bowling team,” said Alvarez.

Alvarez said he wasn’t sure how much he would like being on the bowling team, but once he the season started he really enjoyed it.

“The most I like about bowling is that you get to hang out with your friends, but you are still competing against other teams to win,” said Alvarez.

Alvarez also said how the bowling team doesn’t seem like a major school team, but it is really fun.

“I think the bowling team should get more attention, because it really is a fun team to be in, but not a lot people are well informed about it,” Alvarez said.

It seems that the bowling team is an underrated team at PMA, but if more people gave it a chance it could really shine.

Alvarez also said that one of best things about being on the bowling team is that a team member does not have to the best athlete ever, they  just have to like bowling and try their best at practice and at competitions.
