In the summer instead of being at home doing nothing, senior Reyna Moreno went to Malcolm X College for a STEM enrichment program. This program was five weeks long from June 27 to August 3.

Moreno said the experience was awesome. The Business 101 class was beneficial for her.

I enjoyed STEM because it pushed me over the limit, it’s nothing that you learn in a classroom, but also it’s amazing how you learn everything about business in just five weeks,” said Moreno.

Several students from Phoenix took advantage of this summer opportunity, like senior Ruperto Morales.

“I benefited me because the business class I took gave me college credit for it,” said Morales.

The Business 101 class benefited Morales because in the future he wants to own his own business and with this class, he learned about learned about the process of what he will have to do in the future for his big dream.  

“The classes started from 9:30 to 12, it was pretty convenient because it was in the morning and it was summer so after the program ended we had our own time, ”said Moreno.

Taking classes while in high school was beneficial because they not only earned while in high school was beneficial because they not only earned college credit for the classes, but also experienced what college will be like.
