Gears of War 4 (GoW4) is the 5th instillation in the Gears of War franchise, it’s an Xbox One exclusive developed by coalition studios and published by Microsoft. It is a third-person action shooter that brings back fan favorite characters while also introducing new ones.

Friday the 13th: The Game Launch Bundle

The story follows protagonist James Dominic as he and his team fall from one disaster to the other.  Not only do you have to battle a multitude of enemies but also the extreme weather of a dying planet. GoW4, as it’s commonly referred to allows for a co-op mode which is both fun and immersive. This is a Co-op game that makes the game even more fun and immersive.

Coalition studios did well taking on the reins of the GoW franchise, creating a difficult but fun game. The graphics are good and the game mechanics are easy to get used to.

While some may complain about the new characters, I find this was a much needed change since a new generation of consoles needs a new generation of heroes.

Overall I would give GoW4 a 5 out of 5 for being highly entertaining and for continuing the legacy.
