Meet Cinthia Bustos

Phoenix Military Academy is only getting larger as time passes. Everyone focuses on themselves and their groups of friends within their own grade. It is rare that people from different grades are good friends.

Senior year is a good year for students here at PMA. They are ready to graduate and seem to be stress free, but that is not the case. Cinthia Bustos, a 17 year old senior, at Phoenix Military Academy is working hard in school trying to get her grades up.

Of course people can stress out. Bustos has recently had a lot on her plate, but as always, she stays positive and goes through it.

“I’m currently working at McDonald’s. Despite the fact that they make me work long hours, I like working. It feels nice to be able to cover personal expenses and not have to rely on parents for money. Making your own money gives off a sense of independence,” said Bustos.

Bustos has always been a person that has loved to help others. She loves helping people out in times when people are in need of support.

“In the future, I hope to be a mental health counselor. I have always aspired to help people around me. Being able to positively impact someone’s life and making sure he or she is mentally stable is something that I have always wanted achieve,” said Bustos.

Aside from helping out, Bustos has a passion for makeup. You see her everyday with highlight and a big smile in her face.

“My love for makeup began when I was about 8 years old. I found a way to express myself through combining different shades of eyeshadows choosing the right lip shade. My favorite thing to do, however, is filling in my eyebrows” said Bustos.

Bustos loves buying makeup from Sephora, especially Anastasia makeup. She loves contour palettes and highlight.
