Ice Cream in Lincoln Park

This week I went to a very well known ice cream shop in the South Side area. The ice cream shop’s name is “Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream” located at 900 W Armitage Ave, Chicago, IL 60614 in Lincoln Park

I neighborhood is really nice it’s really hipstery and there are a lot of little nice shops they are a lot of spas and self care places. Every time that the weather is nice outside, the shop that is filled would be the Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream.

One of the main reason for which I went there was because my mentor just wanted to get some ice cream. I wanted to just try the ice cream and see if the ice cream was a good as people told it to be.

At first sight, it seem pleasing, like a normal ice cream shop. It had a minimal amount of decorations with neutral colors. However, the main reasons why people go to the ice cream shop would be for the freshness of the ice cream and the fact that they but there ice cream on top of waffles. Unlike other places that just use an regular ice cream cone or a plastic cup.

At the ice cream shop there were so many different flavors and they let you try as many as you want. They come in all different toppings darkest chocolate, milkiest chocolate, salt caramel, black currant more. The ice cream was really good, I had mine with one darkest chocolate and with salt caramel. The environment is very friendly, good for families. You mostly see families and teens going there and just having a good time however that is not a lot of space and the there is always a really long line.

The ice cream price was also not that bad. For two toppings and a cone it was 4 dollars which is really not that bad compared to other places in which you spend $5 for a just one scoop of ice cream.

Overall, I would rate the ice cream shop a 5 out of 5 stars just because the inside of the inside of the ice cream shop was nice, the ice cream was not bad and the price was not bad either.
