Manchester United is among the most successful and popular teams in the world. Manchester United was founded 139 years ago and represents the city of Manchester along with Manchester City. They wear red and white as their home jersey.

Manchester United have won 20 League Titles, 12 FA Cups, 5 League Cups, 21 FA Community Shields, along with three European Cups, one UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, one UEFA Super Cup, one Intercontinental Cup and one FIFA Club World Cup. In 1998–1999 season they won the Premier League, FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League to become the first in English Football history to win the treble.

This past weekend, February 26, 2017, Manchester United won the 2016-2017 EFL Cup beating Southampton 3-2 in their own stadium. They became champions out of the 92 teams that started in the tournament in 2016. As Champions they automatically make it to the 2017–18 UEFA Europa League third qualifying round.

Manchester United are now in the quarter-finals of the 2016-2017 FA Cup and are expected by many to win as well. They are in the round of 16 in the Europa league and are making it through the Premier League.

“I went to their game two years ago when they played against PSG in Chicago and the experience was amazing. The way they played was amazing and the fans gave the stadium a great atmosphere”, said junior Steven Mamahua.
