Last Wednesday, football club, Paris Saint Germain, surprisingly defeated Barcelona FC 4-0 at the Parc des Princes in the in the first leg of the round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League.

Many believed that Barcelona would qualify easily since they have eliminated PSG in the Champions League twice in the last 4 years; However, they crumbled drastically in the first leg, and it looks as if they might be eliminated this year.

“It was a disgraceful performance. Barcelona were the favorites to win, but PSG were the better team,” said senior Carlos Romero.

A team has never recovered from an aggregate score of such margin before in the history of the competition but many people believe that if any team could do it, it would be Barcelona. Barcelona would have to score 4 goals in the next leg in order to tie the game, and they still need to score one more goal to qualify to the next round.

“I do believe that they can comeback. Barcelona has always been persistent when it comes to comebacks. An example of this is when they lost to AC milan in the first leg 2-0 and they won the next game by winning 4-0,” said senior Abraham Sanchez.

Barcelona have possibly the best attacking trio of the history of football: Leo Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar, and they can be capable of surprising everyone by completing a remarkable comeback. However, PSG can not be taken lightly as they have the upper hand, they also have a strong attacking force, and can easily end the tie with an extra goal.
