Senior Alejandro Pina wasn’t too impressed with J.Cole new album “4 Your Eyez Only” that came out December 9, 2016. The anticipated album couldn’t surpass the double platinum album Forest Hills Drive because it didn’t have any songs that can have someone dance too in a party nor have you in a good mood.

“It’s really good because it’s telling a story about his experience and his best friend. It really makes you think about life,” said Pina.

Cadet Pina believes that “4 Your Eyez Only” was made to be able to sit down and think the things you’re struggling, gone through, and are currently occurring. J.Cole is telling a story in his album by explaining how he is going through depression and struggling to stay normal without having a breakout like most rappers, such as Kanye West.  

“It doesn’t top Forest Hills Drive or Born Sinner but it’s still good. This album is more to get you in your feelings and think about your life,” said Pina.

Forest Hills Drive and Born Sinner were album with mixed emotions. It contained wild songs and songs that get you down. I believe that’s why people liked these album more because it gave you options of what to pick but this album wasn’t liked that. Pina felt that J.Cole dropped this album because how society appears to be now. Every teen is struggling with something and J.Cole wants to let them know it’s going to be okay.
