The game’s setting takes place 2 years after a global epidemic that almost kills a whole population. However, much of the population has been transformed into what the survivors call freakers. These so called, freakers, are zombies that are after all survivors and it will be up to you to survive.

In the game you play as Deacon St. John, who is a Drifter, and a Bounty Hunter: who obtained his skills during his previous life as a biker. The game will allow players to survive on their own despite seeking desperate measures. You will be able to search abandoned vehicles for useful items. Towns and buildings will also be available to be searched through, but at great risk. “Days Gone” will allow players to play in an incredibly realistic and open-world setting where lighting is done in real time and eye adaption technology creates a real sense of dread when entering dark buildings? “Days Gone” offers players the freedom to explore, strategize, and play in their “own way.” Every challenge can be approached and completed in an infinite number of ways. Many different items and weapons can be crafted: for example, brutal melee weapons and traps. Customizable weapons and skills offer its players freedom when it comes to how the game is played.
