The newly introduced “Air Jordan 13 Retro Black Cat”was released on January 21, 2017. It features an all black silhouette with reflective small circles on the patterned leather, white dotted shoelaces, and a geometrical printed panther on the insoles.

The shoe is a great release because of its aesthetics and price. The shoe first retailed for $190 U.S dollars at Nike.com and other shoe retail stores.  At the Nike store, the shoe took about 2 weeks to sell out in some sizes. However, some are in retail stores selling for $220-250.

Some naysayers did not buy the shoe because they do not simply like the silhouette. They claim that it is too basic, and it is not worth its price considering more versions of the shoe will be releasing later.

Although the shoe may seem basic, it has amazing quality and does not crease as fast like the average Retro 13, and it feels like a temper-pedic pillow on your feet when you walk. Since the shoe is all black, you can pretty much wear it with any clothes and still look classy, and since the shoes have reflective circles, it shines nicely during the night.

The shoe is not a bad release because it is named after a black panther because Michael Jordan, and famous basketball player and owner of the Jordan Retro brand, was described as a cat who moved swiftly and dangerously on the basketball court. Not only is the shoe worth it’s price, but it has meaning.
