Gears of War 4 (GoW4) is the 5th instillation in the gears of war franchise, it’s an xbox one exclusive developed by coalition studios and published by Microsoft. It is a third-person action shooter that brings back fan favorite characters back while also introducing new ones.

The story follows protagonist James Dominic  as he and his team fall from one disaster to the other.  Not only do you have to battle a multitude of enemies but also the extreme weather of a dying planet. GoW4, as it’s commonly referred as allows for a co-op mode which is both fun and immersive. Is a Co-op game that makes the game even more fun and immersive.

Coalition studios did well in taking on the reins of the GoW franchise, creating a difficult but fun game. The graphics are good and the game mechanics are easy to get used to.

While some may complain about the new characters, I find this was a much needed change since a new generation of consoles needs a new generation of heroes.
Overall I would give GoW4 a 5 out of 5 for being highly entertaining and for continuing the legacy.
