The Cubs are playing in the World Series for the first time since 1945. The  Chicago Cubs won the the National Conference League Series on October 22,2016  in Chicago by beating the LA Dodgers.  

“Cubs are winning this year because  they had losing teams for the last few years,” said Mr.Bernthal.

Starting on  October 28th, 2016 the Cubs played the Cleveland Indians at Wrigley in the World Series for the third through fifth game.

“They are objectively and statistically one of the best teams in baseball,”said Mrs.Miller.

The Cubs have played five games straight against the Cleveland Indians, allowing the Indians three wins. However, the Cubs won last night, making the series 2-3.They only need four games to win the World Series, so they must win game six and seven in Cleveland.
