On May 2nd, 2016, Chelsea tied against Tottenham Hotspurs, 2 – 2, securing Leicester City to become the EPL champions. Many believe that Leicester City deserve the championship after their performance in the EPL.

Many consider it a “Cinderella” story. Leicester City barely made it out of relegation last season and after acquiring a new manager, Claudio Ranieri, they won. After a 132-history since Leicester City was first founded they won their first EPL championship.

There are many reasons for Leicester City’s success. Mahrez has become PFA Player of the Year, Jamie Vardy the Football Writers’ Association Footballer Of The Year and – so much more significantly – Leicester are champions with 80 points from 37 games. Also, thanks to Claudio Ranieri’s leadership he took Leicester City at the top of the table.

“Even though the team I support didn’t win or place in the top four. I still respect and believe that Leicester City deserved to win the EPL title,” said Junior Eduardo Macedonio.
