May 4, 2016
The well-known family sitcom, Full House, has come back after its’ finale 21 years ago. The cast has been giving hints before the show aired , such as how the set would look to excite old fans that watched the sitcom back in the 90s.
The original 90’s show was about how a father, Danny Tanner, who was raising his 3 daughters (D.J., Stephanie, and Michelle) after his wife passed away. Then, his brother in law and best friend moved into help them. This was one of the most watched family sitcoms over the 80s and 90s.
Finally on February 26, 2016 the show aired its first season on Netflix, Fuller House. People seem to really enjoy this show because it brings back memories about the first sitcom. This new show is about the oldest daughter D.J and how she has to raise her 3 sons after her husband, who was a firefighter, passed away.
Her younger sister Stephanie and best friend Kimmy Gibbler move into her old family home and help take care of her 3 boys while Kimmy also has a 13 year old daughter of her own.
Critics say that the show isn’t the same without the youngest daughter Michelle. She was played by both Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, however, they decided not to join the sequel. They keep their characters alive by making the references. like, “You got it dude!” And “How rude!”.
The show reflects the original sitcom and has corny lines. However, they relate so much to the original show that people are still excited to watch it because of the memories of watching as a kids.
Netflix reported in March that it was renewed for a second season. Perhaps the next season will come out next year or later this year. This show has given so many people many memories watching it with their family and friends that it’s exciting to see an old show come back with the same cast that started it all.
