Golden State has been number one in the National Basketball Association since last year when they won the NBA championship. They have been unstoppable ever since they won. Even though they won  as a team, the one who really stood out the most was Stephen curry, also known as “Chef Curry”.  To me, he is the best player in the NBA, as well as the best player in the world.

There are so many people who think that LeBron James is the best player when in reality, he is not.  If James was the best player, he would have led his team to a championship these past two years. If James was the best player, his team would not be third in the league conference. Curry on the other hand is the best player and his team has been number one in league conference for the past two years.

Curry has already broken many records in the NBA. Curry has set the record for the most three-pointers made in a single season with a number of 286, breaking his own record from 2012-2013. Curry averages five three- pointers per game, which gives him about 25 points from long range.

During the 2000 NBA playoffs, Reggie Miller set the previous record for most triples during a single postseason with 58 over 22 games. Curry managed to break that in only 13, with 64 at the time.

All of these stats show you why Curry is the best player, but some think differently.

Everyone has their own opinion about whether James, Russell Westbrook, or even Kyrie Irving is the best player, but do the statistics show it? I feel that Curry is the best player and the statistics prove it.
