Blackhawks are on a roll
January 27, 2016
The Chicago Blackhawks have been on a roll lately by winning 12 straight games. They are currently ranked number one in the power rankings, and after winning the Stanley Cup last year, it seems that they will make another run for the cup.
“I’ve been enjoying this win streak very much; it seems like no one can stop Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews,” said Ms. Tristano.
Patrick Kane has a league best of 30 goals and the Chicago Blackhawks have already surpassed their largest win streak in history. Kane is currently on track to score 118 points and may be able to break the record of 120 goals in a season.
“I don’t like to speak on the Blackhawks chances because I’m very superstitious, but I will say that they look hungry and motivated to win another Cup” said Ms. Tristano.
Corey Crawford has been showing why he is one of the league’s elite goalies by stopping 38 of 39 shots against Nashville. He has received a lot of criticism for his inconsistency, but when it comes to the playoffs he is on a whole other level.
There is still a long way to go in the NHL season, but the Blackhawks have turned into their elite form a bit early this year. Winning three Stanley Cups in six years is a large accomplishment and the Hawks seem to be hungry for more.
