Nivea Men Post Shave Balm is originally used as an after shave balm for men. It normally contains 3.3 fl oz, and ranges from $5.00 through $7.00. You can usually find it at your local drugstore, which is fairly accessible. It’s supposed to be very gentle on the skin. It’s also enriched with Vitamin E, chamomile and Witch Hazel extracts. It’s second ingredient used is Glycerin followed with water.

Although, it’s originally used as an after shave balm for men, it can also be used as a makeup primer. The reason behind it is that the second most used ingredient is Glycerin which makes the product stick. It has a light men scent that goes away once makeup is applied. The makeup does go on smoother, and has an oil control. This product works well for both dry and oily skin. It’s fairly hydrating which won’t make it cling onto dry patches, neither will it make your skin oily. This does fill in pores slightly,however it’s non irritating. This product does have a white milky color, and is of a liquidy consistency. Overall, it won’t make your makeup fade, and it will hold up to an 8 hour duration. Yes, I do highly recommend this product if you’re looking for a cheap alternative for a primer.
