The Incredibly True Story Review

The Incredible True Story is the second studio album by the American rapper known as Logic. The album was released on November 13, 2015, by Def Jam Recordings and Visionary Music Group. It is described as his sophomore album and is depicted as a motion picture sci-fi epic from the rapper.

The album tells a story that takes place nearly 100 years in the future; planet Earth has become uninhabitable, and there are only 5 million people remaining in existence living on a space station. The story features two main characters who are Kai and Thomas are on a journey to find a planet called “Paradise” as their adventure is documented throughout the album. Logic is known as “The Man Who Saved The World,” but isn’t found in the album.

The album is a fresh new start for the rapper as Logic gets nearly as passionate as his last album, Under Pressure. He uses many styles and even fuses his own with fellow rappers to create a dynamic of feelings and perception on each song. However, I feel that the topic of the story wasn’t really touched upon as much, but only a few snippet references to space traveling.

The Maryland rapper ends the album with the main characters landing on the planet “Paradise” and the feeling during the outro felt inspirational. He does leave an ominous and wondrous feeling too though, making you wonder what exactly happened next.

Overall, I give it 4 out of 5 stars because the passion and change that Logic has made. I really enjoy the metaphor of traveling to the planet “Paradise.”
