Need For Speed zooms past mediocrity
November 6, 2015
The Need for Speed game was released on November 3rd, 2015. Need for Speed is an open world racing video game created by Ghost Games and published by Electronic Arts. It was released for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and will come to PC in 2016, Need for Speed is the latest installment to the series, it is the most successful racing video game series in the world, and one of the most successful videogame franchises of all time.
Need for Speed takes place in Los Angeles, California with many areas for the player to view or ride through. The goal of a lot of the characters are to get famous by getting noticed by characters known as notorious drivers.
Need for Speed is a game that has many flaws, but is nearly close to perfection in some ways. It’s in-game engine has created graphics realistically amazing, nice music, and it’s controls are pretty smooth. Though, the drifting system seems to need work as it is difficult to cut corners. As realistic as it seems, the acting stoops to level of mediocrity and makes it awkward at times that choices are made that one wouldn’t realistically do. Also, the fps (frames per second) tends to drop when on a loading screen or randomly at times.
I give this game a 4 out of 5 because the customization is great, the graphics are very realistic, but the frame rate dropping and having to stay online to play can be frustrating to players and gives it a negative.
