“I only have a little time to read, but when I do, I read as much as I can. I can’t wait till I have enough time to read for as long as I want,” Valadez said.

Jackie Valdez, a junior at Phoenix MIlitary Academy loves reading books. She has been reading ever since she was a kid. One of her favorite authors is Stephen King.

“I love Stephen King. His books are amazing. They are creepy, dark, and crazy! Reading them at night is the best,” said Valadez.

Some of the books Valadez has read from Stephen King are: It, Misery, The Eyes of A Dragon, and The Dead Zone. Her favorite book, though, is Misery.

The book freaked me out and the way he portrays the characters is amazing. I reread it like three times,” Valadez said.

Stephen King is known for making dark, evil, mind-twisting books that many fans love. It’s no wonder why Valdez loves his books.

Valadez has been reading ever since she was kid. It’s her way of escaping.

“I’ve been reading books ever since I was a kid. I started when I was six years old, reading little kid books and imagining them,” Valadez said.

Valadez has read over a hundred books. Her favorite genre of books is scary, thriller ones.

“The best type of books are the ones that make you cringe, jump, scared, thrilled and at the edge of the paper. They have to make you feel like you’re the main character. If they don’t stir your emotions, it’s not a book I want to read,”Said Valadez

Many people don’t know jackie loves to read. In fact she considers herself a book freak.

“People don’t know I like reading books. Little do they know that I have a bookshelf in my room filled with books,” Valadez said.

With so much school work, especially from her AP classes, she doesn’t have as much time as she used to.
